David Hillendahl Photography

David Hillendahl began his photography career working on his high school yearbook, shooting student events, sports, and faculty headshots.  During college, he assembled a state-of-the art darkroom and took several free-lance assignments for North American Adverstising, while developing his skills as a portrait and pet photographer.  While travelling with musical roadshows, Mr. Hillendahl was contracted to take theatrical headshots of his fellow actors and musicians.  Continuing his work in Los Angeles, he photographed many celebrities including the legendary Ann Miller, Debbie Reynolds, and Rip Taylor. His work has appeared in the magazines Texas Monthly, Performing Arts, and Petroleum Journal.  Now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he shoots commercial advertising, color portraits, and landscapes.
